Getting Started with The Genesis Kit
Once outside your home there was rich, fertile soil where you sowed seeds and harvested the bounty of the earth. It was something you learned from your family, who had learned it from their community going back generations. It was as easy as breathing which is not to say that gardening wasn’t also hard work. Rather, it came naturally because you had generations of hard won know-how to creating soil for the right growing conditions.
Today, it’s different. We move to a new home and the soil, the temperature, the hours of sunlight, rainfall .. it’s all different. Because you garden for so many reasons – the sense of accomplishment, the exercise, the joy of feeding your family healthy and nutritious home-grown produce – you’d like it to be simpler but still get great results. But so often, the work required seems to outweigh the rewards.
That’s why we created The Genesis Kit – to simplify the work it takes to garden; to restore your desire to garden while restoring your soil; and to ensure that your plants have all they need to grow and so pass on those nutrients to your family. Now, let’s get started!
Unlike most conventional gardening companies, we choose to conserve rather than sell you gallon jugs or 50 lb bags. By sourcing the most potent natural compounds for you to feed your soil and plants, most folks can carry the supply for the entire season in a single trip.
Because we believe in “waste not, want not”, we sell our Kits in increments of 200 sq-ft so you get just what you will actually use this season plus a little bit extra ‘just in case’.
Each Kit containing our proprietary assortment of farmer proven & gardener trusted fertilizers and soil amendments includes:
● Soil Boost contains a unique combination of calcium and phosphorus in a form that is readily accessible and fosters peak plant vitality and abundant yields.
● Fungi Ally is a potent microbial inoculant with Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi (AMF) that boosts roots, fights pathogens, and enriches the soil.
● Beneficial BAC is an innovative blend of probiotic anaerobic microorganisms designed to enhance soil and plant vitality.
● Dr. Kelp is soluble organic seaweed powder that promotes plant growth and flowering, provides stress relief, and improves water retention.
● SeaStrength sets itself apart with chitin, sourced from crustacean shells, which inhibits fungal growth and fights viruses and bacteria.
● Seed Start is a premium nutrient seed starter that enhances soil vitality, stimulates root growth, and improves water retention.
● Leaf 30 is liquid fertilizer with a potent NPK blend, chelated trace elements, and natural growth enhancers like fulvic acid and seaweed fertilizer to boost growth.
● Sol-Pack enhances sugar production, aids nutrient uptake, and boosts leaf size for optimal photosynthesis and stronger plant growth.
And our products are so effective, you use them in quantities as small as a 1 gram or just 5 ml mixed with 16 oz of water for each 100 sq-ft application area. Specific instructions are below for each product. Products are easiest applied using a hand-held garden pump sprayer bottle with at least a quart capacity.
Step-by-Step Process
Our process is divided into three stages which should be followed in numerical order unless you start your plants from seeds grown indoors. In that case, start with Stage 2–Seed Treat.
● Stage 1 – Pre-Planting: Prepares the soil for planting–do 1-2 days and no more than 7 day prior to planting
● Stage 2 – Seed Treat: Primes the seeds – do no more than 1-2 hours before planting
● Stage 3 – Growing Season: Nourishes your plants and soil – weekly & monthly foliar application
Mixing
All products in either dry or liquid form are mixed with 16 oz of water per 100 sq-ft of garden.
In Stage 2–Pre-Planting, all five products may be applied together using the proper amount of each individual product to a base of 16 oz water per 100 sq-ft of garden.
In Stage 3–Growing Season, the three Stage 2 carry-over products (Beneficial Bac, Dr. Kelp, and SeaStrength) may be applied together using the proper amount of each individual product to a base of 16 oz water per 100 sq-ft of garden. Optionally apply every 4 weeks.
Application
For all liquid products we recommend using a hand-held pump garden sprayer – ideally with at least a 1 quart capacity. Do not use a fine tip sprayer.
In the Pre-Planting stage you will spray the mixed compounds directly onto the soil then follow with a light soaking of water from hose or watering can to push the product into the soil bed.
In the Growing Season stage you will spray the mixed compounds directly onto the leaves of the plants – this is called foliar application. Do not spray to the point where the mixture begins to run off the leaves - surface tension will draw all the liquid off the leaves. Foliar application is up to 13x more effective than applying to the soil (which is what happens when it runs off the leaves).
Fresh is Best
Use these products within 24 hours once mixed. Avoid applying in direct sunlight. Best applied early morning or late evening when the plant stomata are open. Best stored between 40F - 99F.
